Others Projects/Pictures

I am excited to show Larry Russells Project C-GONE.  Together he and his partners have the latest flying Aircar.  Their Aircar is powered by a 300 HP IO-520-L Continental engine with a Hartzell reversible Prop.  Reported performance is a Climb rate of 1200 FPM and a 135 MPH cruise at 24 squared.  Larry has made regular progress reports to our Yahoo Group.  Here are a few pictures he sent me of C-GONE
Larry Russell was good enough to send me these two .WMV (Windows Media Viewer) Videos he took of C-Gone.  The files are rather large to download but pretty fun to watch.  Thanks Guys!
C-Gone Taking Off (1.86 MB)
C-Gone Landing (1.58 MB)

William Burtis' Project Pictures
I fully expect William to be the next to announce that his beautiful Aircar has had its first flight.  He has done a gorgeous job on it.  The project was started in 1984 and a close look at these photos should convince anyone that this is one of the nicest Aircars around.  It is powered by a IO-520L Swinging a MT Reversible porpeller.  I hope I get a chance to see it up close sometime soon.  (hint hint)

*** If you have an Aircar that I can feature on this page, please contact me with some pictures and information!

Gary Lambs Restoration Project, Complete with Chevy V-8
Gary acquired a freeze-dried aircar up in Alaska and has been working on restoring it.  He has installed a Chevy ZZ4 engine and Ivo three bladed prop.  He seems to make exceptional progress - during the summer months - and it would be fun to see it fly in the next year.

Jim Belknap's Project Pictures
I have been anxiously awaiting an update from Jim Belknap.  After visiting his project a few years ago I was impressed with the quality of his workmanship and I "borrowed" a few of his improvements for my own wings.  I also know that he has most of the stuff needed to finish his ship, including a beautiful workspace.  Hopefully we will get a progress report and some fresh pictures soon
